CWST eObjectives

This Specific Support Action organized a series of high quality scientific conferences, workshops, seminars, tutorials and meetings to support the objectives of eInclusion in relation to eAccessibility and Design for All in FP6.

Tutorials

Besides offering events for experts and all stakeholders in the field there is also a strong need to support the development of the next generation of experts in eInclusion. Due to the specialities of eInclusion there is a need to help young researchers and practitioners to enter into international cooperation very soon in their career. CWST provided attractive opportunitues for highly skilled and motivated young researchers to learn from and cooperate with outstandig experts.

Seminars

ICM meetings support the efforts to strengthen the position of Europe and R&D, market presence and service provision in eInclusion and related areas by providing an overview to the global state of the art, possibilities for co-operation and areas of competition. These meetings should also help European R&D and industry to evaluate their strategic position and to find new areas and topics for co-operation and also to get a better position in competing areas.

So the project was finished in June 2009 there will no more conference be provided in the frame of this project.

Workshops

AAATE has established the so called Special Interest Group (SIG) focusing on very specific aspects of eInclusion and related fields. This important work will be fostered by providing support to run a series for workshops/seminars on topics of highest interest.

This events will include activities in the area of Design for All in co-operation with EdeAN (European Design for All and e-Accessibility Network) and ICTA (International Committee on Technology and Accessibility).

Each year a high quality conference will take place, focusing on the support of the fields Assistive Technology, Design for All and e Accessibility and thereby supports the objectieves of FP6 and eInclusion.
